Quick recap of a Domestic PV system installed earlier in the year ☀️⚡
This install features 13 x 475 W solar panels paired with a 5 kWh battery system, designed, supplied and installed by CS Energy.
✅ Approx. 5,003 kWh of clean electricity per year
✅ Battery storage to maximize self-consumption
✅ Lower energy bills and reduced reliance on the grid
✅ A solid step towards a more sustainable, future-proof home
At CS Energy, we handle the full journey – from design and specification through to installation, commissioning and support – ensuring every system is safe, efficient and built to last.
This installation features a Sigenergy 5 kW inverter paired with a Sigenergy 10 kWh battery and a roof-mounted Aiko solar array (14 panels) designed to match the customer’s annual electricity demand. The system was surveyed and sized to maximise self-consumption, improve day-to-night energy coverage through battery storage, and deliver strong annual generation for long-term savings. As part of our end-to-end service, CS Energy managed the system design, installation, commissioning and monitoring setup, with the option to integrate further energy management measures as the customer’s needs evolve.
Drought-resilience upgrade for a well supply system – new pumps, VFD control and a dedicated electrical kiosk (11 kW / 40 m³/hr)
During dry spells, this site was experiencing low well water levels and inconsistent supply. To improve reliability and protect the pumping assets, we delivered a full electrical and controls upgrade—built around variable speed drive control and flow measurement.
- Outdoor electrical kiosk (new build): lockable, weatherproof enclosure mounted on a prepared base, designed for harsh outdoor conditions and safe maintenance access.
- Danfoss VLT HVAC Drive (VFD) – 11 kW: variable frequency drive providing smooth acceleration/deceleration, speed control and motor protection. The HOA functionality (Hand/Off/Auto) and local keypad make commissioning and fault-finding straightforward on site.
- Siemens SITRANS F M MAG 5000: electromagnetic flow transmitter used for accurate flow monitoring/feedback (ideal for pumped water applications). This supports stable operation and gives meaningful operational data for diagnosing performance during low-yield periods.
- Panel protection and safety: distribution/protection gear, local isolation and clearly accessible emergency switching for safe operation and servicing.
~Why VFD control matters on wells during dry spells:
By controlling pump speed rather than running fixed-speed only, the system can be set up to match abstraction to available yield, reduce drawdown risk, and avoid unnecessary mechanical and electrical stress—while still achieving the required duty when conditions allow.
Delivered performance:
- Pumping duty up to 40 m³/hr (40 “cubes”/hr)
- Drive-controlled operation to support more stable supply during low-level conditions
A recent solar installation, consisting of an 18 panel ground mount with a 5KW inverter and 16KW of battery. This client also opted for a Sigenergy UPS system to guarantee no loss of power.
